 - both are asymptomatic

* non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH)
 - hepatocyte injury > cirrhosis in 10%-20%

 Pathogenesis: genetics & environment “two-hit” model
  1- hepatic fat accumulation
  2- hepatic oxidative stress
